Yin/Yang Yoga

The focus of this practice is to bring forth a sense of balance on and off the mat. This class will use Pranayama (breath work), passive long held Yin postures allowing for Prana (life force) to reach the deep connective tissues and joints, and active Yang postures to energize the muscles. The goal being a Sattvic (pure) balance of Tamasic (passive) and Rajasic (active) energies. A beautiful joining of Yang and Yin, effort and surrender. This practice will help the student understand the stillness in movement and the flow in stillness.
