Hip/Core Yoga

The abdominal muscles, back muscles, and muscles of the upper leg comprise our “core.” The core muscles are extremely important in body stability - which aids in injury prevention, protecting our internal organs and nervous system, alleviating back pain, and achieving proper posture. This all-levels, moderately paced class features standing, seated, and reclining postures that are aimed to strengthen these muscles. Attention will also be given to hip-opening postures to relieve tension and stress. Modifications are given for all levels.
